NIESV conference begins in Lagos

The Lagos State Branch of the Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers has said that it has put in place all necessary logistics for the successful hosting of the 40th national conference of the institution, which begins on Monday (today) and ends on Saturday, May 1, 2010.
With the theme, "Vision 2020 and the Challenges of Housing Construction and Development in Nigeria," the conference will bring together realtors from across the country to discuss how the nation can overcome her housing challenges.
A major highlight of the gathering will be the Annual General Meeting of the institution where new members will be elected to the NIESV Council.
Two Lagos-based valuers, the current 1st Vice-President, Mr. Bode Adediji and a former member of the council, Mr. Osita Okoli, will hope that their colleagues will elect either of them as President to pilot the affairs of the institution for the next two years.
