African Real Estate Society meets in Lagos

REAL Estate professionals the world over will be joining their colleagues across Africa under the umbrella of the African Real Estate Society at the 9th African Real Estate Society Conference in Lagos. The conference holds from October 24.
The African Real Estate Society (AfRES), established in 1997 as a regional real estate society under the International Real Estate Society (IRES), is a continent-wide organization that seeks to promote networking, research and education among property professionals.
Conference chairman, Mr. Akin Olawore FNIVS, said recently that the 9th conference with the theme "Real Estate Markets in Emerging Economy" would have experts in the real estate sector discussing the trends, developments and the future of the real estate market in the African economy.
According to Olawore, participants will drawn from real estate stakeholders, relevant government agencies, the academia as well as users of real estate services.
Among speakers at the conference, according to Mrs. Marcella Iyitor, CEO of Niche PR, a consultant to AfRES, are Prof. Dr. Karl-Werner Schulte from the University of Regensburg, Germany; Prof. John S. Baen from the University of North Texas, USA; Prof. Washington Olima from University of Nairobi, Kenya; Prof. Francois Virully of the University of Witwatersrand, South Africa; Noorsidi Aizuddin M.N from Universiti Teknologi, Malaysia; and Mr. Newton Jibunoh, chairman of Dolphin Properties.
