Free property management software helps landlords

Many landlords who have a vested interest in property management have for a long time been plagued by the high costs of very specific property management software.

However, a new software solution is to be made available to landlords and others who rent property in order that they can keep track of money coming in and going out against a property much more easily.

Property Manager 2.0 , the brainchild of Propertyhawk.co.uk, already has 30,000 registered users who can input details of meter readings, rent payments, etc. all on to a central server location where it can be retrieved either on a laptop, internet-connected PC or wireless device such as a Blackberry.

Formed in 2007, Propertyhawk.co.uk has aimed its new software at landlords and letting agents enabling them to take the strain out of the sometimes-complex keeping of records relating to properties.

"More and more landlords are seeing the benefits of flexible access to their data, landlords don’t want to be tied to a single computer when managing properties," said Propertyhawk.co.uk director Chris Howe.
