Developers Strategise For Yuletide Boom

Professional builders under the aegis of the Nigerian Institute of Building have been reminded of the need to brace up for challenges posed by the frequency of building collapse in the country

The Managing Director, Consteng Limited, Chief H.O.B. Lawal, who was the chairman at a dinner held by NIOB, made the charge while speaking on the future and success of the housing industry.

He urged them to be proud of the profession and challenged them to always explain reasons for building collapse to people.

According to him, they should be able to let people know that there are other people, who are not trained that are engaged in building production process.

Awards were presented to individuals that had contributed to the development of the association, while some members were also rewarded for being punctual at the institute’s meetings.

People giving awards include the managing Dorector of President Paints, Chief Tunde Sebanjo and Managing Director of Omais Investment Nigerian Limited, Chief Omesere.

Members that received awards were Mr Suraj Borokini, Alhaji Adegunle, Samson Udofia , Lucky Ezenomen, Sunday Wusu and others

The annual general meeting t saw Mr. Kunle Awobodu returning unopposed as the Chairman of the institute. For another year. Other executive members were also returned unopposed.
